Cookie Policy

The cookies and local storage DreamDate Reviews uses: essential consent and language storage, optional opt-in analytics, first-party outbound tracking, and how to control it all.

This policy explains the cookies and cookie-like storage DreamDate Reviews uses, why, and how to control them. There are fewer than you might expect.

The short version. We use the bare minimum. Essential local storage remembers your consent and language; nothing non-essential runs until you opt in; you can decline and still use everything.

What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small files a site can store in your browser; local storage is a similar, more modern mechanism. Both let a site remember small pieces of state between page loads, such as whether you have set a preference. We rely mainly on local storage rather than traditional tracking cookies.

Essential storage

A small amount of essential storage keeps the site working the way you expect. It holds your consent decision so we do not ask on every page, and your chosen language. This is stored locally on your device, is not used to track you across other sites, and cannot be switched off because the site needs it to respect your choices.

Optional analytics

If, and only if, you consent, we load privacy-respecting analytics that count page views in aggregate so we can see which guides help people. No analytics script or beacon runs before you opt in. Decline and the site works exactly the same, minus the counting.

Outbound link tracking

When you click a Swipey link, the destination URL carries our own internal Everflow parameters so we can measure how our pages perform. That is first-party measurement on our outbound links, not a cookie we place on your device, and it earns us no third-party commission.

How to control cookies and storage

You are in charge. Use the consent banner to accept or decline non-essential storage, and change your mind whenever you like. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time, which resets your preferences here. Blocking storage entirely may mean the site asks for your consent again on each visit.

Changes and contact

If our use of cookies changes, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. Questions? Contact the desk. See also the privacy policy and terms of service.
